These (I've got five big ones) are Chusan Excelsa palm trees. The second photo is my Laurel hedge.

Cassis
I know I shouldn't be, but I'm starting to feel envious of all these frosty shots. They're really Xmassy!
Christine Animal
Don't you have any at Ancinnes ? It's just like on Louise's photos here today, but I don't have my camera... yet ! [:)]
Cassis
I wouldn't say it's warm, exactly - currently 5 above zero - but we have not had freezing temperatures during the daytime. Shame, because I love it when the forest's all frosty. So Santa - or should I say Miki [;-)] - is bringing you a camera?
Christine Animal
Why Miki (have I missed something again !), whoever, I have a nice feeling one might be on it's way right now. [geek]It is nice weather for Christmastime, cold and dry, but I wanted to ask Jonzjob about his photo above, "have you really already had snow like that earlier this year?!"Just took this with my free with a magazine camera (which took the Autumn feel ones), but there is not enough light for it. Maybe do better tomorrow !
Cassis
I was referring to this re Miki and Santa, CA - read through to the (currently) last post.http://www.completefrance.com/cs/forums/831204/ShowPost.aspxWhich magazine did you get the free camera with? Is it a current offer? I want a cheap and cheerful camera for the car glovebox. Your results are impressive for a freebie - perfectly good enough definition for the Internet. WJT
It is exactly like that here if not worse, everything is frozen including me! I would take a photo but it is just too cold to go outside. [:D]

Dick Smith
Suze, that is fabulous, the best yet.I am so impressed by the standard of photography of some posters. This (and all your other shots) would sell to a photo agency, I am certain. I love taking photos and always carry my camera with me, which is why I have a compact so it fits in my bag or pocket though I would love a digi SLR with a couple of lens. Have you got the details of an agency [;-)]!
Dick Smith
No, but I can find out - we have an ex-pro fotog working at school, and he still sends images to agencies and is paid on a commission basis when they are used. I'll let you know - I've been trying to get my son to do the same thing, I'll ask him as well.
Christine Animal
Cassis, aha, it wasn't with just one magazine, but with a year's subscription to Le Point or Le Nouvel Observateur, can't remembr which as we get both. J-P. did that.I now see what Jonzjob meant by "earlier this year", he meant last Winter !WJT, if you are frozen and we still haven't a photo of you, can we have a "givré" one ? [:P]I expect we'll all be givré, complètement givré by tomorrow !
Cassis
Never mind - I guess I'll have to brave the moths and get the wallet out.Ice on a dwarf yew last March, I think - remember the freezing rain?
