Simon
I spotted this fellow in the garden this morning, it is the first one we have seen. For those who don't know it is a European Green Lizard, which is a very lazy name for something.Simon
Suninfrance
Don't know what it's "real" name is, but the I believe that the blue throat means that it is looking for a mate.

chris pp
Stunning photo Pads, can I steal it? I think it's a young male Calopteryx virgo, interestingly called the Beautiful Demoiselle in English, "Demoiselle" being the French for Damselfly. What else did you get? That's its name all right - Green lizard (male). Lacerta viridis.More photos please.[:D]Chris

Jonzjob
Sorry Chris, I thought that I had replied to your post. As usual, smack on. They are lovely aren't they. Very graceful in a clumsy way, if that is possible? Are they very common?
