PeterG
Yes I can identify it. They are the famous railings at the side of the Quai Branly in Paris. It's a shame you spolit it by getting the Eiffel Tower in the background.[;-)]
Cassis
[quote user="TempsPerdu"]Err, apparently it's illegal to take photosof the Effel Tower at night, the people that own the tower holdcopyright on all images apparently. I found this on a photographicwebsite. Apparently photo's have been removed from shared sites forthis very reason. Details here: http://www.tour-eiffel.fr/teiffel/uk/pratique/faq/index.html were it saysQ: Is the publishing of a photo of the Eiffel Tower permitted? A:There are no restrictions on publishing a picture of the Tower by day.Photos taken at night when the lights are aglow are subjected tocopyright laws, and fees for the right to publish must be paid to theSNTE.Steve[/quote]No law against taking them - just that stupid rule about not publishing them. Go on James - pull it if you have to.

Cassis
As there is clearly a dearth of pictures of Paris - possibly due to obscure laws forbidding their publication - I will risk another one of my own.[IMG]http://i68.photobucket.com/albums/i26/cassiscassis/complete/louvre1.jpg[/IMG]Still light here. Christine Animal
May we know where it is? Is that Jude collapsed on the floor, she's very tiny.
Cassis
It's in the Louvre, Christine. I've no idea who the girl is - I just thought she looked so out of scale with her surroundings I had to snap her. I think she was sketching the statues. Dick Smith
Clark - to get your photos in your posts, just go to Photobucket and copy the lowest address beneath the picture (the one with IMG in it) and then paste that into your post. Assuming you want to, of course.

Assuming you want to, of course. That is exactly what I have been doing. On my computer the URL appears on the screen in the posted message - when I click on the URL the picture appears. If I left-click on one of your photos and then click on properties, the form of your URL is similar to the one I paste into my post.
Tresco
But it ends in jpg!Great pictures by the way. Dick the one at the Pantheon is saleable, surely?
Dick Smith
Clark - you isn't!You need an address which begins with IMG and ends with /IMG - both in square brackets.
Clarkkent
DickIf I leave [IMG] in the URL, I get a message from Photobucket that the page cannot be found. Is this a Mac/PC problem?
Cassis
[quote user="Clarkkent"]An inhabitant of Notre Dame.[img]http://i136.photobucket.com/albums/q190/HarrowbyHall/NotreDamegargoyl.jpg[/img][/quote]It's because you're posting a hard link inside the IMG tags instead of a simple URL address. If you click "quote" on this message you'll see that your bit inside the IMG tags is in blue and underlined, indicating a link (at least that's how it looks on my machine). It should look like this:[img]http://i136.photobucket.com/albums/q190/HarrowbyHall/NotreDamegargoyl.jpg[/img]Hope this helps rather than confusing matters! Clarkkent
OK. I'll try again.[IMG]http://i136.photobucket.com/albums/q190/HarrowbyHall/Paris6.jpg[/IMG] I've identified my problem - I recently installed a new printer which decided to overlay the toolbar with one of its own and I had been trying to cut and paste using right clicks. I have now got rid of the new toolbar. Many thanks for your help and patience.
