Clouds and weather

I don't know if this subject has been covered before on this forum.  I have a fascination for clouds, weather and similar phenomena and often photograph them, so I thought I'd share a few.  At the risk of boring everyone, and not knowing if there is an attachment referral limit or not, here goes...

Hi, Thanks for letting us see your great photos.

I also love clouds and weather but since my arrival in March I haven't had much chance to get my photography going. Mind you this summer, as you probably know has been nothing but rain and wind and lousy light for photography.

I lived in the Philippines until early this year and I must admit we had some wonderful photographic weather there. I just wish I was not such a novice at photography!

Hope you get some good winter photos I think it can be a very interesting time for photography.

Don't know about anyone else but the only face I can see is my reflexion on the screen [8-)] but I do agree the photos are superb........

Thanks for your kind comments - nice to know there are some kindred spirits out there.

I can't for the life of me make out a face in the picture you mentioned - I'll have another look with squinty eyes!

The photos were pretty high resolution when I took them, so some of the sharpness has been lost by downsizing.

I like taking shots of cloud formations too Chris.  Just found this one that I took in June after a storm when I was uploading some wintry photos I did this morning (no clouds around today though - -9.5 this morning!)

BTW Geordiegirl, I can see the face you are talking about - you're not going mad!

Chris. I totally agree that a dramatic or interesting sky can make such a difference to a landscape. You've posted some great skies there.

Here's one I took back earlier this year at Saint-Cirq Lapopie... the clouds were starting to bubble up.

If you look really carefully some people can see a face in this cloud.

I saw it all along, just struggled to get the circle on the photo!!!   Hope Khazi does not mind me playing around with his beautiful photo's.

I really must cut down on those Spritzers  [;-)]

That's lovely, Pads.  You can't whack a good rainbow to brighten up the sky on a rainy day.  [:)]

Yes, tres colourful, especially where you can see the secondary arc, more prominently in Cassis's 1st picture.

I took this one through a train window whilst crossing Canada.  (Don't know whether that counts on a French forum...)
