I make mine a bit fatter, but the smaller size is good for practising.

Tip don't tie the ribbon too tight at the top as the stalks shrink as they dry and will need tightening, use a cocktail stick to pull and tighten the weave.

They are great for putting in with your lined drawer etc.  My mum taught me to make them and she called them Lavender bottles.

Ingenius idea because the weave stops the flowers sheeding everywhere but lets out the fragrance.

I have to admire your skill. An elderly Fr. friend showed me how to make these wands, hers were beautiful but mine were a poor copy, be warned, it's not as easy as it looks.[:(]
