Art Lover
A new multi-cultural complex will be opening in the spring in Civray as a venue for amateur artists to display their paintings, sculptures and other works of art. Please contact me if you would be interested in having a space in this gallery.

Art Lover
My apologies - Civray is in 86 mid-way between Poitiers and Angouleme, but the gallery will not be restricted to local artists.
jon
Good idea.....It is another of bringing art closer to those interested...by collecting it together in an interesting way.Hoepfully the artists will make sales to keep their art alive. When we get going ...This summer, I hope.We plan to to do something similar but in our hall, parc and garden. So artists interested to chat about the idea....get in touch we are near Castillon de Bataille 33.It is our idea to hold different events in the garden during summer. cowoman
I am a trained picture framer and cut square and round mounts, cut glass and make up frames.Would there be a need for this in dept 87 as I am pondering what I could do when i come to live in France?I saw some frames being made up once in one of the big diy stores so dismissed the picture framing idea out of my mindthanks in advance
bannie
Good picture framers seem to be in short supply - I've tried some from the Big DIY places but not that inspiring - would you do conservation framing ? and arrange packing/export of paintings. There's a wholesale supplier of all types of framing materials in Brittany area (can't name) so there must be a call for specialist framers. cowoman
I have done conservation framing. If i remember right i used conservation glass and conservation mountboard,it was just the same as convential framing but just substituting conservation materials.Am i right on this?
