loella
I've being trying to research into the price of French perfumes over here in France. So far I've found it hard to find much info on prices over here. Having searched on the internet, it seems that the UK is very organised re online shopping for most things. Does one assume that its a myth that you can buy perfume cheaper now in France?Annie
Val_2
I go to Sephora a lot in Brest for a spray up when passing but I have noticed how expensive perfumes have become now. Maybe if you google their name it will throw something up.
Russethouse
Frankly even the duty free is hardly any cheaper than the UK high street. The only place I found a significant difference was the USA, whether or not its worth shipping is doubtful, perfume is heavy.[:(]I wish we had Sephora in the UK - I love it ! Judyc
There is a Sephora at Bluewater shopping centre near Dartford, Kent.I have had some perfume 'bargains' from e-bay! Somebody else's unwanted gift might be just what you are looking for!I had a favourite perfume by Jacomo (Anthracite - what an attractive name for a perfume!) that I first bought in France in 1990 which had been discontinued, but I found a bottle in Germany, and I found a bottle that a friend had been unsuccesfully searching for, in Singapore! Mistral
You could get an idea of the price of perfumes in france if you look on the sephora websitehttp://www.sephora.fr/ or the marionaud one http://www.marionnaud.fr. I assume there are others, but those are the two I know. I can't comment on any price difference as I have no idea how much it costs in the UK
icmenuiserie
Someone may correct me, but TVA is higher on perfumes than other things about 26% I think, whereas TVA normally is 19.6% so it probably could be dearer.
