partout Posted May 6, 2009 Share Posted May 6, 2009 Hi therecan anyone tell me if I am correct in reading somewhere that the 8 May is a holiday in France, if it is, are any of the supermarkets open in the Duras, Lot et Garonne area. During my 6 years here I have noted that the Windmill factor (we never close) is becoming prevalent on public holidays - but I can never remember which ones until the signs go up in the windows.John Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Public offices, banks and a lot of businesses will be closed but looking around town most of the shops and supermarkets will be open as normal.
