Proof of Postage

What do I ask for at the post office to obtain 'Proof of Postage' for a parcel I have posted which is not recorded delivery or signed for. When I ask for a receipt, they just give me a Till receipt without the details of the recipient.

Yes it is.

If you're simply sending a small parcel like you would a

letter, there is no traceability and no recourse, should anything happen

to it.

Their T&C state that " Tout envoi de marchandise avec ou sans

valeur commerciale affranchi au

tarif Lettre Prioritaire ou Ecopli, dégage La Poste de ses engagements

en cas de perte ou avarie tels qu’ils sont présentés dans les Conditions

Générales de Vente Courrier/Colis. C’est pourquoi il est recommandé

d’utiliser la Mini Max, Lettre Max ou Colissimo, offres disposant de

Conditions Spécifiques de Vente acceptant ce type de contenu." (All consignments of goods with or without

commercial value sent via normal mail, Priority Mail or Ecopli frees La Poste from any responsibility in case of loss or damage as presented in the Terms

of Use Mail / Parcels. Therefore it is

recommended to use the Mini Max, Max or Letter Colissimo, offers have

A receipt like the one below is available with  Colissimo, as each package is individually logged and traced to its delivery.
