Kitty
I need to find a largish quantity of the small plastic bags (about 2 inches square) for delivery in France. They need to be self sealing (into which matching buttons will go).Can anyone tell me what is the French for these sorts of bags? When I search for them online, I can't find any. I suspect that I am not using the right French.Thank you in advance for your help.
YCCMB
Sachets plastiques zip, fermeture pression. I've just tried it, there are quite a few. You know what size and type you want, so over to you[:D]

Kitty
Thank you so much Betty. I have ordered the bags through Amazon.frOver the years, I have bought a whole load of buttons (I do a lot of sewing) and my daughter has been sorting them out and matching them up. YCCMB
Glad to be of help, and pleased you got what you were looking for. I have a gazillion buttons, and should probably do the same!
Kitty
Once the bags arrive, I shall let you know what they are like and provide the link. I had to take a gamble on the size and so bought two sizes.
YCCMB
Great, thanks. I am also contemplating going into making buttons, so if I do I will certainly need some bags for them!
Catalpa
When a couple of our ram lambs relocated permanently to cooler climes, I had the horns back and have since made some horn buttons and toggles (with the tips). I'm rather pleased with them. Probably the lambs had been, too. [6] I don't have so many that they need sorting, though. One day, perhaps... What will you be making your buttons from, Betty? YCCMB
Nothing quite so exotic for me, I'm afraid. I'm thinking more along the lines of ceramic ones - probably porcelain.
Pierre ZFP
You wouldn't have a bit of buffalo horn would you? say about the size of your thumb?Strange but true, I have managed to break one of the nocks on my longbow and I have to carve another.
