	i have recieved a form that needs signing and returning to my Syndic entitled Nouvelles mesures fiscales pour beneficier de la TVA a taux reduit de 7%.has anyone come across one of these as i'm not sure how i should deal with it.

Basically, what it  is about is that the copropriete can benefit from lower VAT rates on some of the work that is carried out. The extent to which this is possible may depend on 2 things:

How much of the property is residential (as opposed to commercial)

How much of the property comprises the principal residence of its owners.

By filling in and returning the form, you are providing the syndic with the information that it needs to calculate the overall applicable VAT rate.

thanks for your reply(pickles).i have an appartment in france i use for holidays only,and the question i am being asked is " A usage d'habitation pour plus de 50% de sa surface or moins de 50% de sa surface.i assume the answer is the latter as its only for holidays

In that case, it is the former that you should select, not the latter, as they are looking for residential vs commercial.
