Music teacher and somewhere to practice

Hi,

I am soon moving to Paris (next month) and I have a problem...any advice is welcome.

I need somewhere to practice the flute...I don't have that great a sound so it's not a case of 'people will be pleased to listen to you'!

There must be a lot of people with a similar situation...does anyone have any ideas on where I could practice or somewhere to live where sound travels less or something. I was planning on sharing a flat but if there is somewhere I could live where it would be alright to practice (i.e. sound hardly travels) then I could pay for the whole flat.

Also, does anyone know of a really good flute teacher, preferably someone who performs?
