Tresco
Hi to allOK, we go to everthing we are invited to, and one of the things is a monthly 'play games' do. Surprisingly, I am better at scrabble here than I ever was in England, but card games were never my thing.I will 'google', but still, if anyone knows this card game can you please help us both by giving a description/rules of this game? Loiseau
I have been meaning to try and learn this for years. It's much played in the Vendée too. A friend has given me a CD version to learn on, but I haven't tried it yet.All I can tell you is that it's played with a pack of 32 cards (no 2, 3, 4, 5, 6), and that the dealer has to give 3 cards at a time to each player, and then 2 cards at the same time - making five in all. After that, I get a bit lost!Try thishttp://emulatari.free.fr/belote.html and click on the link about the rules.or thishttp://membres.lycos.fr/cartesajouer/ though it has some rather annoying pop-upsor this, http://nvrs.club.fr/fsrtaccueil.html and then click on "jeux classiques" and select belote (looks about the clearest explanation) I wonder if they'll be expecting you to play l'Aluette next? (Or perhaps it's called "trut" in your area?). That's a *real* laugh!Angela (UK & 85)
