Jonzjob Posted October 9, 2006 Share Posted October 9, 2006 Hi Hugh. It sounds the same sort of thing as the River Severn and the Bore. It goes with the phases of the moon. I would think that one of the Tourist Info offices along the river should be able to help. Bordeaux should be a good bet for a phone call? If you want to watch or park your car near the river, make sure it's on a high bit of the bank. The Severn Bore gets 8 foot or so high on a goodun!! sharkhunter Posted November 12, 2006 Author Share Posted November 12, 2006 hi , yes i googled it and got some info, apparently in the biggest in the world is in China, Quitang i think it is called up to 10 mts high and 3 kil wide and the roar can be heard an hour away.
