Recently made Indian Kites

Hopefully you will see some bamboo and polypropylene kites I have made.

In europe we use polyproplene film as tissue paper which is traditional does not do too well in humid and wet conditions.

These kites can be flown many kilometers away and using just cotton line can be controlled to spin left or right and to ascend or descend using just one line.

In India and now other countries they are used to fight - the first 10 metres of line are covered with glass paste.

The idea is that you draw you line quickly over you opponents line and cut it - you then chase the lose kite in a spinning motions and snag the lose line. You can then steal the other kite.
