Gardengirl
I've been enjoying seeing paintings from many of the galleries featured here:http://www.googleartproject.com/It took over for a while; wonderful paintings, and being able to see some of the close-ups was great! Gardengirl
No Cooperlola; I assume this is TV, which we don't have in France. What did it say about it? I think it's agreat site, and would be every pleased to see more galleries added.
cooperlola
Yes, it's the Newsnight Arts discussion prog' on Friday nights.Susan Hitch was particularly enthusiastic about the close up views of the brush strokes etc which have never been seen before in such detail - her point being that this made it different from the many gallery sites already available. It was fascinating and went beyond the basic idea that it allows one to view art which has been either too far away (geographically, I mean) or otherwise inaccessible. Gardengirl
That's intersting; I've really enjoyed looking at brush work - really fascinating! An even a better view of brush-strokes than being close-up to some of the paintings! Of course, being further away works for others! I was looking at Whistler and van Gogh yesterday; amazing brushwork!
