NuBeginningsFrance
After many years of riding other peoples horses I have final taken the plunge and brought my own.I searched far and wide and as I pen this post I am in not so sunny Spain where my new boy is from.So with out any further ado I would like to introduce Armas Banquero. He is a PRE ( Pure race Spanish ) and 6.5 years old he passed all his vets tests yesterday the only thing that now remains is to organise the transportation back to France. Here is a video of him in action.
My goodness that is one handsome boy. Isn't he beautifully mannered ... not complaining in the slightest whilst all his bits were being man-handled.You might just have found a real treasure there!Well Done and Good Luck to both of you.Sue [:)]

NuBeginningsFrance
We have a miniature pony called Rusty so I hope they get on. If not ill offer the use of our stable for free to try and find him a friend ;-)What is the etiquette with name change as his true Spanish name is a mouth full Armas Banquero I rather fancy SirrocoTransport now arrange so he should arrive Sunday the 29th ;-)
cooperlola
It's supposed to be unlucky to change your horse's name but as mine was called Wedding Day by her breeder that did not last long. She's been Varian for 29 years. Not so unlucky then. I think it's fine for a horse to have a stable name (as opposed to his registered one) but, especially if you are going to continue his education, you need to ask his current owner what name or word they use to get his attention and carry on using it when lunging etc (ie when your voice is a major connection point between him and you.)
