HoneySuckleDreams
Amongst my favourite Olympic moments - Kenyan David Rudisha's win in the 800 metres in a world record time as well as the gold medal. He did far more than he needed to win. Really poetry in motion!
My sentiments exactlySince 1979 there have only been 3 world record holders: Coe(79-97), Kipketa(the great Danish runner 97-2010), RudishaIt is the most difficult record to break. My No1 son is a pretty good sprinter, and he manages 1 lap, flat out in 51s (and he's normally sick afterwards) Rudisha does 2 laps 50s each...I have total respect for the man. Watch the 5km on saturday night, it's frightening when you watch them do the last lap in around 48s.
