Gardian
We beat the All Blacks 38 - 21 this afternoon (at rugby, for those who aren't of this world).Sounds as though it was really good - highlights at 20.00 on BBC3.Have been receiving emails and texts from pals in the UK, who have got SKY of course. The Welsh messed it up sadly - hope that Halfpenny is OK. Russethouse
Haven't the All Blacks all been ill this past week, Noro virus or some such?A victory is a victory though......
Rabbie
A great result for England. By all accounts well deserved.

Gardian
Haven't the All Blacks all been ill this past week, Noro virus or some such?
Hmmm .............. they didn't look all that incapacitated to me.A good win, but irrelevent in many ways, except that it'll stop the inevitable carping about Lancaster which had already started.Wish I'd been there though. There's nothing like being at a major sporting event when the result goes the way you want it to.I think that I'll treat myself to a snifter of brandy with my coffee whilst watching the footie presently. My husband explained to me. You never use opposing team sickness as a reason for a win-only your own team's sickness as an excuse for losing. Easy!! Not only are they the best rugby team in the world but also sporting when they are defeated.

Somewhat of a conflicting statement.!!!!!!
Possibly to someone who doesn't follow rugby. The All Blacks are the current world champions. They are ranked No 1 in the world and are consistently over the years the team every one else aspires to beat. Yes they do lose the odd match but year in year out they are the best team in the world so I consider my remarks not to be conflicting.
NormanH
I would go so far as to say that being sporting in the occasional inevitable defeat is part of what makes a great team.
