HELP!!! email question

Someone please help and I don't mind even if you go "tut, tut..........stupid" as long as you explain to me what to do!

I used Outlook Express and it took me ages to compose a tricky email and attach 2 photos.  It was a letter of complaint and I was asked to attach photos.

I thought all had gone off only to find the letter still in the "Outbox" and not in the "Sent".

So, do I opt for "send all"?

Does that mean that all the text and the photos get sent to the intended recipient?

I was about to choose "send all" and then my few brain cells tell me not to because I think that "send all" could mean send to EVERYBODY in my address  book.

Please explain to me how I send this "stuff" that is still lurking in my "Outbox"[:)] PLEASE!

As you know I'm not the least bit techy but this is my two cents:

Your computer may be set to send and receive emails at articular intervals, ie, every 15 minute, every hour etc.

Or it may be that the attachments are too large and need splitting up or resizing smaller.......

Hope someone more techy comes along soon.....

My computer in France does the same thing, Sweet. I tend to forget, as my UK one sends things off immediately I press Send. But with the French one I do have to remember to click Send All so that the messages actually go.

Someone likened it to writing and stamping your letters and putting them on the hall table ready to post. They have not actually got under way till you take them to the letter box round the corner and shove them in...

Thank you very much, Eurotrash, RH and Loiseau.

Now all understood.  When I came back from taking the dog for her swim (I would have dived in with her if the lake wasn't so muddy) and got back on the puter, there was a box on the screen to say I had unsent messages in my Outbox and would I like to send them "now".

I said yes, bloody well do it straightaway and, sure enough, after a few seconds, the message got sent and it appeared in the "sent" box so all is now well!

Thanks again, for your patience and willingness to help [:D]

Gee, thanks!  So....tell me something I don't already know?[:P]

David, it's OK, I just wasn't sure what "send all" means:  send to all (everybody) or send all your messages?

It's like the "Paris train"......would that be the train TO Paris or the train FROM?

No better in French:  le train de Paris?[:-))]

Le train de Paris would be the train coming from Paris. Otherwise it would be "Le train pour Paris" train to Paris
