Franglais24
Hi,My thoughts are turning to what can I sow now that will be ready in a few months time? Chard, lettuces and leeks, I suppose, but does anyone else have any suggestions? We're on the border of 16 and 24, and we do have a greenhouse.I'm really regretting not planting any potatoes earlier this year. Is it now too late, and if not, where might I find some seed potatoes now? (there were none in Gamm Vert yesterday)Thanks all!F24

There's just time for turnips and winter radishes; you might get away with chicories/raddicchio; cutting lettuce, corn salad, white onions and spring cabbages can all be sown now, and you can resow the lettuce & corn salad through the autumn.Peas and broad beans don't always overwinter here but can be sown in late autumn. You could try sowing fast-maturing carrots and beetroot, it's late but sometimes they grow fast enough to be lovely & young & fresh at the end of the autumn.
