Lautrec
With the lack of rain generally, if there is a hose pipe ban, how will we be informed. Local papers? Notice board? TV/radio.? It would be nice to know!

Clair
You should regularly read the notices put on the notice boards outside the Mairie. The Mairie will show any official notice regarding hosepipe bans, bonfires etc... This is how local people are kept informed of planning applications requests, upcoming marriages and anything else that could affect them.
Ron Avery
Since they raised the subject of a water shortage, we have had one fine day and it has not stopped raining all day, its chucking it down right now

Our neighbours were telling us about the bans- not to water gardens or wash cars- about an hour later it started to rain and it's barely stopped since! Alexis
I heard it on the radio. Brittany was about three weeks ago and today it was the Charente Maritime.
Candc
We have a ban in place from 1st April - 15th April , in Charente Maritime . We did wonder if this was an elaborate April Fools day joke , but it was confirmed on our local notice board .Weather has been mixed and ground and plants do look quite dry . Lautrec
Cadc says they have a ban from 1 - 15 April. I see now that here in Ruffec we have a similar ban 1 - 18 April. Does anyone know if this means that after this time, the ban will be rescinded
