WendyG
Help please any ideas gratefully received.I have two large luscious black cherry trees which for the last two years have had a tiny white "worm/maggot" in every fruit. They fruit before my neighbours' tree which does not have the problem.A neighbour 1 mile away has the same problem. It is heartbreaking to watch all the lovely cherries ripening and being unable to use them. passiflora
Hi If what you have is a larvae which is about 5mm long inside the fruit it is "mouche de la cerise" You need to treat with Insecticide systemique arbres fruitiers which you will get from a garden centre or somewhere like Mr Bricolage. Also worth treating with anti-cloque which stops the leaf curl problems as well.Hope this helps
WendyG
Many thanks for the information. It certainly sounds right.Presumably it will say on the container when to use.I look forward to next year's crop!Once again, many thanks for your help.
