Will
The best place to buy in bulk is direct from a quarry (carrière in French).

Ty Korrigan
Hello,I buy gravel from my local quarry for around 15 euros per ton including TVA but its the delivery that is the expensive part...So if you are particular about the colour of your chosen material you may well pay 35euros per ton plus delivery from a building merchants. Jonzjob
We have a gravel drive, about 75 yards long and gravel parking at the back of the house, 400 sq yards or so. It's small gravel that was laid when we bought the house. All I can say is "DON'T GET SMALLL STUFFF!!!). It's a pain in the donkey and gets trodden into the house, car and places you couldn't imagine and plays holy hell with out terra cotta floor tiles by getting caught under doors and the treads of shoes.[8o|][:'(]John. Dick Smith
"Seems the time of year for people to do the driveway!"Yeah, that'll be the mud talking!Ours was done with medium sized stuff that looks a bit like railway ballast but smaller. Apparently the jagged edges lock together over time. Completely agree you don't want small stuff, as it walks everywhere and gets stuck in the tread of your shoes like Jon says - and as for the footwells of the car...
