Russethouse
This year I have had some lovely Iris, the tall slender type. Now many of the flowers are over and seed heads are forming, (rather like the seed heads on tulips) should I nip these off or leave them ?
Tresco
Hi GayYes you can dead head them, same as with any other flower. It won't encourage more blooms - as with roses for example - it's just for neatness. Some people cut the leaves too, but I don't till they go brown.
