M
You can't 'get rid of them' - it's an offence to disturb them in any way. They will do absolutely no harm - they eat insects, and their droppings are also harmless. If they are under the eaves, why are they a problem?M
Chris Head
We've got bats too, I'm delighted they choose to live in the barn. Enjoy them...they're wonderful little creatures!Chris
Dick Smith
I love watching our bats. I wish we could get some in England to keep the low-flying insects down.
hoverfrog
Apparently bats have winter and summer quarters - you don't say if they are with you all the year.We had bats appear in the cellar last spring - the door was delapidated and they just flew in, in numbers! As they don't like to be disturbed they soon found alternative accommodation, as our house had been empty for 2 years before we moved in.I can lend you a noisy teenager - bats don't seem to like Iron Maiden, Motorhead or Nirvana :)As an alternative, try putting the washing machine on warped floorboards - when the whole house shakes they don't like that either! :)
