sharkhunter
Hi, all summer i have kept my grass reasonably long to try and retain some moisture in it and now there are large patches with dead grass within. i have tried a moss rake and had to give up after talking incessantly to myself and rambling on about conspiracies etc.Is there an electric or petrol driven machine i can buy/hire to do this job. There are also patches of clover and moss that i want to clear at the same time. I'm sure i have seen something like that in UK for raking out dead grass for collection. Thanks in advance for all your help, hugh.
Cassis
Do you mean a scarifier, Hugh, for gathering up dead moss and thatch? NB The same name is given to the tool that slices up the surface of the earth to improve aeration.
Benjamin
Can't think of the French name for them but shops like Mr Bricolage hire them out by the day.Be prepared, you will drag out a huge quantity of "debris" when using one.Benjamin
