gladys
By way of a change this year we planted a Patisson Squash. Fortunately we only planted one as this plant is huge, we think it may take over the world! The problem is that on the little ticket thing which came with it it says to harvest in Oct/Nov, but we now have loads of these huge white squashes with a rather attractive scalloped edge all round, should we leave them on the plant to grow even bigger or are they edible now? Also when they are harvested how are they cooked, and can they be stored?
Pierre ZFP
Someone was asking for recipies the other day - was it you?. Despite the ticket saying harvest oct/nov, if you have loads then why not try one now? They may be too big later. As I understand it they can be cooked just as you would a normal courgette, or maybe try it raw with a bit of vinegrette?
Hoddy
It was me who asked. I'm still hoping for a super recipe.http://www.completefrance.com/cs/forums/991139/ShowPost.aspxHoddy
CeeJay
Try thishttp://uktv.co.uk/food/recipe/aid/515451 It's for squash and brie soup and is really very nice, and gets rid of loads of squash!
