Jemima
We shall be moving to France later this year but my husband has a small collection of Orchid plants he would like to bring with him (about 18 plants). Can he do this?
PaulT
Hopefully someone will answer the question. Appreciate it if your answers were a little wider as we have a number of plants in containers we would like to take over but unsure if we can.Paul
chrisb
We've taken loads of plants of many kinds over the years (to and from France) and have never been questioned about what they are, where are they from etc. This has included fruit trees which we took the trouble to get copies of the virus-free certification for...but again just ignored. Jonzjob
You don't say where you are moving to Jemina, but your husband may well be surprised by the number of native orchids here. we have more in our garden, wild, than I have ever seen on the commons outside Stroud and they are a place of soecial interest as far as orchids are concerned.I realise that he is probably growing the ornimental types. They are wonderful too...Good luck with your move and I hope it is a smooth as ours was!! That seems a lifetime ago?
