beris
Hi allWe intend to make some drought resistant flower beds, gravel gardens, and require some Phormisol to cover the area. There are lots of places in the UK where we can purchase this from, but can anyone help with location in France. We are in dept 12.Many thanksBeris
cassis
Almost all garden centres sell ground cover fabric. It's cheaper to buy it off the roll in 1.5 or 2.0m widths rather in the pre-packs.
Russethouse
If you need a lot consider buying (or getting a price for) a whole roll. We got a discount when we did that but we are in the UK.....
Tony F Dordogne
Also try the larger brico sheds, you'll probably find they're cheaper than the garden centres - certainly are in 24.
beris
Hi allThanks for the information, yes we do need to by it by the roll as we have a lot of land to cover, I just thought that someone may know of a manufacture in France we could contact. The local towns seem to use it in large quantities for weed supression in the parks, and garden centres in poly tunnels, etc. Many thanksBeris
Tony F Dordogne
You could try looking in the advertisment section of the French gardening magazines, it could be there are bulk buy offers through those.
cassis
From memory, 50 metres off a roll 2 metres wide cost us about 120 euros from BricoMarché a couple of years ago.You need metal pegs to pin it down, especially on slopes; you can either buy them or it's cheaper to make them from small gauge iron rod as used for reinforcing concrete. A pair of cheap bolt cutters makes cutting to length easier.
Russethouse
Beris, we just asked our supplier for a a better price on a whole roll, it saved a lot of trouble finding suppliers, but we got ours from a place that sells paving slabs, landscape timbers etc, not a garden centre. As we were covering ours with gravel we didn't bother with metal pegs, just used large stones to keep it in place until it was covered with the gravel.
