Peach leaf curl

 We have this disease on our peach and nectarine trees, they bore lots of fruit last year but there was a serious amount of leaf drop. In the UK I would have been spraying with Dithane now, but have not found anything similar in the shops here.

Can any of you experts recommend a product I could use to control this disease please?

Try the more serious agricultural shops such as Gamme Vert, rather than the hypermarkets or garden centres.

If you want something greener , and less noxious you could always try the old Bordeaux Mixture (Copper Sulphate) spray.

You are probably too late to spray now. You should have done this about a month ago. Everything earlier than in England!

Fertiligène make a product called "Cloque du Pecher", which can be used from February to June and Sept to November. You can't use it within 75 days of harvest.

I found it very effective on full-blown peach leaf curl about May last year.

Available in garden centres, DIY stores, etc.

Thanks for the advice I will check out Gamm Vert as they have a branch near us to see if they have 'Cloque du Pecher' as this seems the best bet as I've left it a bit late for the other product.

I won't use anything on my plants that isn't completley natural. I was advised to steep dried horsetail plants in water for a day or to then spray three times. Maybe just luck but so far no peach leaf curl over four years.
