Gemonimo
I have just cut my grass and have found patches of blackish green slimy stuff. Its not anywhere damp but seems to be quite widespread. I'd ask my neighbour what it is but I fear he would tell me its edible[+o(] Does anyone know what it is and what to do to eliminate it?
Pads
Can we see a photo of it ?Dumb answer ....... but I have seen this, Its not old cut grass left on the lawn from last year is it ?
Gemonimo
Well, Pads I don't have a photo of it but it looks a lot like algae, you know the flat stuff. I don't think it's doing any damage as after a while it dries up and disappears. Real sci-fi stuff!
Pads
http://www.insectimage.com/Gallery%2011/lawnmold.htmldoes it look like this ?If so a bit of forking , ( sticking yourfork in the ground to create holes ) and sprinkling a little sand around to help with the drainage will help . Gemonimo
That's exactly it! Sort of bubbly and black and quite dégeulasse. Thanks for your advice about forking - I'll get junior to do it while I'm in the uk[Www]
