Benjamin
I think these are called écores de pin in French.Does anyone have any ideas where to buy in bulk as opposed to the 70ltr sacks in garden centres?I have already used the rolls of weed supressant for larger areas but this is for narrow borders. Cat
They are écorce de pin, and some sawmills/scieries give them away as unwanted by products, I know one in our area that does anyway.
Benjamin
Thank you for that Cat. I've located our nearest sawmill and will be visiting later this week.
Val_2
The downside of anything like bark chippings etc is that cats love to do their business in them and they end up scattered everywhere showing bare earth again so if you are in a cat infested neighbourhood, remember not to put bare hands straight in there.
