mooky
I have this euphorbia growing in my garden. I would like to split it in two. When can I do this please, if I should do it at all. It's a plant I have never liked until I had one. It is truly beautiful and changes so much depending where the sun is. If handling these plants be aware of the milky sap. I rubbed my eye after touching the sap and had a bad eye for several hours. cassis
Looks like euphorbia characias, Mooky. Nice plant. Not sure which variety it is from the pic, but doesn't matter. Maybe wulfennii? You can't split it without probably killing it as its a shrub type (have a look at the base). You need to take cuttings.euphorbia characiasPS I've had lots of seedlings of wulfennii in previous years. As long as it's not a named variety you can also raise them from seed (named varieties may not come true from seed).
