Sandra Richardson
This may sound completely barmy, but does anyone know of a sculpturer who might want to showcase some work by creating various things from tree stumps. Ive had this idea because there are going to be quite a number of stumps left after about 20 trees are cut down. I want to create a wonderful garden with an unusual twist and feel that using the stumps in this way would be quirky and different. Russethouse
If you are looking for someone to carve the stumps, you could look for Chris Head (in the wood working section)

tracteurtom
Depends what wood and age they are. Old Oak or Walnut you ...may.... get someone interested, but anything else, pull them up and burn them. Or get a man in with a stump grinder. There's no shortage of tree stumps in France [:D] There is a huge pile of them at the bottom of my land, just left there by the Mairie after they pulled a hedge out - all part of keeping things tidy they told me ! Chris Head
That bench is weathering really nicely now despite many attempts from the commune to slap some 'stuff' on it, I told them I'd cut it up and take it away if they did. Still haven't had time to mail you Sandra!
Kitty
Some more pictures of your works of art are needed, Chris, to let the world know what you do.
