Window boxes

Reading the strarwberries thread has urged me to want to grow them in my window boxes but I believe it is a bit late now.  Also, I love cherry toms but I think I am late for those too.

Please could someone advise me what fruit or veg I could be growing.

The window boxes I have are the bog standard size, the popular type and they receive the sun most of the day.

You might, just, still find some cherry tom plants still in your garden centre. We bought some two weeks ago.

Worth a try and then you can use them at apero time just like your French neighbours.

Actually,  I have just googled this and noticed that you can grow just about anything.  I am looking at starting some lettuces.  I have about 10 boxes altogether scattered around the apartment.  I wonder if that would be enough to yeild two or three lettuces per week.
