Garden wholesalers

Hi,

Does anyone know of any wholesale garden suppliers, particularly of pots, seed trays and containers here in France or anyone that delivers to France. Wholesale plant suppliers are also of interest.

Googling and magazines such as Rustica have not come up with anything so far.

I know of some that can supply from the UK but it depends on what you are actually looking for and the shipping costs are enormous - I bought some Rootrainers and had them shipped, added 25% to the bill and there was no weight in them at all.

Where are you, I may be able to help but rather than breach the rules, probably better if you pm/email me.

If you have a pépinière near you they might tell you where they get theirs from. Or they may not, if they see you as competition [;-)]

True, I don't see myself as in competition as I'm trying to develop lines that compliment rather than compete with the local pépinières (otherwise why bother), but they might not see it that way.

Try a search on google for "grossiste jardinage" or "fourniture horticole".

thanks cassis, that's the thing, I tried searching 'grossiste jardin' and many varients but to no avail - well I am still learning!

If I'm looking on Google for something in France, I find it's better to use www.google.fr and select "pages: france" using the filter button below the search box.  Gives results (mainly) within France and completely different to what you get on Google.co.uk..
