melise
I'm an American citizen, married to an English citizen and we have a 10 year old son. We're currently living in France and have been here since the beginning of September. I'm retired and my husband works freelance. Our son attends school here and plays football with a local club. We can't figure out what precisely we need to do to get resident cards or if because of our situation, we need long term VISAs. Because my husband is an EU citizen (for a while anyway) there's conflicting information on online sources about what kind of formal papers papers we need to complete to stay here. I think we visit the local mairie with documents but does anyone know a reliable source to consult?
pomme
The official regulations are available at Titres, documents de séjour et de circulation des étrangers You need to look at the section Carte de séjour pour Européen and then review the various drop-down sections depending on your individual circumstances, place of birth, etc.
