sueyh
Is it possible to grow Dill and Fennel in the north of France?ThanksSuey
ali-cat
I wouldn't call us “North” – but we grew it last summer, in Charente Maritime & I now have two large bags full of Dill, in the freezer, which will keep me going for years!! A packet of seeds isn't very expensive so I'd give it a go!! [:D]
sueyh
Thanks Ali Cat - its just that hubby wanted to do a recipe today and it had fresh dill in it and its impossible to get it in the supermarche.Suey
Hoddy
I've grown both up here in Leicestershire so I don't think it would be a problem in France.Hoddy
tinabee
yes, we are in the wilds of Normandy and the fennel grows wild and self-seeds - last year it nearly reached 6 foot tall!
dragonrouge
Of course fennel and dill are different. But when living in Normandie I found dill went to seed so very quickly. Now living in the Vendee will indeed try it again for with fish it is really good.
