lindal1000
Everything you do in France requires you to list all previous marriages and divorces! OH complains constantly that his ex-wife's name is on all of our official paperwork.
minnie
I must admit I've not found that to be so. I was divorced in 1990 and remarried in 1994. We moved to FRance in 2006 but have not had to mention my ex in any documentation. It maybe different if you have minor children where the father has an interest. I, too, left my marriage without any funds and a 14 year old daughter. It may also be different if you're looking for citizenship but if you have Irish citizenship then I imagine you'll not need to do that.

If the ex-husband is of a different nationality eg Australian then the situation might be different.Sue
Loiseau
Every time my late husband and I (both British) purchased property in France, his first wife/wedding had to be mentioned in the deeds, and he had to produce his certificate of divorce, along with that of our current marriage.
