Hoddy
I discovered a garden and nursery just south of Sarlat yesterday which sells 80 varieties of tomatoes and 16 varieties of basil. I bought a purple sage and a bronze fennel which I haven't seen for sale elsewhere around here. It's at Clos des Sources on the south of the town.Hoddy
Tony F Dordogne
Sounds like our sort of place, tho I've already got 10 varieties of tomato growing but the basil sounds like fun. Now, when we going to Sarlat next?

dragonrouge
If all goes well on Monday and my wife's resin cast comes off we are renting a moyen age town house in St Cyprien in June. Please can someone confirm that the weekly Sarlat market takes place on Saturdays and the St Cyprien much smaller one on Wednesdayskind regards
dragonrouge
Dear Tony I have just received some very unusual basil seeds from the UK. Do you need any more. Also and I have forgotten the name but I have bought some sort of snap dragon plants but climbers from a specialist nursery on the Isle of Brehat. Finally the same nursery has supplied me with a geranium from Madeira. Has anyone had experience with it before? I think its called geranium madernse or something like that. Now that I have them and I am not too sure what to do with them. Saw a photograph of them and had to have them!

Hoddy
You'll need to take the D57 from St Cyprien towards Bergerac. It is a right turn after Carsol - the last right turn before you get to the Peuguet island in fact (although you wouldn't know that till it was too late). You then take the first left off that road. I'm sorry I can't help with distinguishing features on the junction as I approached it from the other side. Hoddy
