Clair
I planted a Potiron Rouge Vif D’Etampes and it has produced a lot of male and female flowers. Two female flowers have been fertilised and the mini-pumkins are about the size of a golf ball. There are about 9 more "potential pumkins" in the offing and there's no way we'll be able to eat all these this winter, so my question is: if I pinch the main and secondary stems to stop the growth, will that damage the plant? Clair
Could we have fotos of this phenomenon please as well as some of your veggie patch to see how it has progressed?[6]
There is no veggie patch yet! I am still waiting for the notaire to call me for the signature and chq handover. However, she has assured me all 6 co-owners have signed the sale agreement...The courgette and pumpkin have been planted in a couple of high raised beds (centre of pic below) on the edge of what is the paying visitors' garden. This is the new bit of garden:which is the part above the wall shown on this picture:We have removed the barbed wire and rotten wooden posts separating our existing plot from the new plot, but have not yet dared remove the partridge cage or the rabbit hutches. Just waiting for the ink on the paper...[:)]
