mint
Here we are again, Autumn. Have already missed planting fruit trees last autumn so determined not to miss the boat this year.Does anyone know of a good pepiniste in 16, 17, 24 or 33 who sells fruit trees?Chris PP, amongst others, have in the past recommended that we plant stoned fruit (yes, I know, the fruit can be stoned but not me) as our ground is of very poor quality. So, I'm looking at varieties of plum, cherry, apricot but I would like a recommendation of a nursery. Believe me, I have asked around French as well as Brits but have drawn a blank so far. Therefore, here I am again, relying on the knowledgeable ones on the Forum.[:)]

Dog
I would use seeds and stones from local trees they will grow best in your area and cheaper.

mint
Dog, we can't wait 5 to 10 years for an orchard. I don't expect an "instant" orchard but I do want the trees in position.
Hoddy
I haven't actually bought any trees from Delmas et Fils from St Capraise de Lalinde, but I have been very pleased with the other stuff I've bought from them.Their phone number is 05 53 63 47 96 so you could ring before you made a journey to see if they had what you wanted.Hoddy

Renaud
The last garden centre in Jonzac before you leave the town in the Barbezieux direction has sold us quality plants. Have a look at them.
