fairyflowers
Hi, I emptied out a pot yesterday and found it full of fat, grub looking things - like fat short caterpillars. Can anybody advise what they might be and whether they do any damage?
water rat
sound llike weevil larvae. They eat the roots and you dont usually find out until the plant comes away and there's nothing below the soil. Check out your other pots to make sure there's no others

Just Chris
Probably rose chafers - we are plagued with them in pots every year.Chris
