Suze01
In the UK! I don't think your criteria exist in France, they are all very expensive!!
Jonzjob
I would try a couple of your local bricos? The ones around here have a good variety of sizes and prices. If you want a paper thin type that you get from B&Q, etc. then you will have to look North to B&Q, but the general ones here look to be fairly good quality, but you will have to pay for what you get? Up to you, you pays yer money, etc.!?You don't say what part of France you are in Joe?
Joe
I am in area 56 near Pontivy, Brittany.I have tried bricos.Very costly.I just wondered if there was a company that just supplied sheds and the like.
martyng
Just taken delivery of one that I bought online from a bunch called Cemonjardin. Looks an excellent quality - certainly better than the thin walled, stapled things from B&Q etc. Yes you pay more but so far cannot fault the service - it pitched up earlier than expected within a week or so of ordering. There is no way I could get one across from UK.Hopefully better weather this week will see me starting to construct the thing!
Joe
Thanks for the info.I will make some enquires in my area.Iwas quoted nearly 900 euros at Mr Brico for a 1980x1980 shed which is the size I require.
Clair
Don't forget that you need a déclaration préalable for a shed that size [:)].
Joe
Sorry Clair,I am not yet up to speed with the language. What is the form I need?I thought I would be ok with that size shed.I have a 6x4 feet greenhouse from UK.I enquired at the Marie's office and was told it was ok. Clair
Sheds over 2 m² need a déclaration préalable.(source here, pg 5)Your shed covers just under 4 m².Ask at the mairie or download from the website on the link above. Nothing to worry about, it's just a formality.A greenhouse no higher than 1.80 m does not require paperwork.
splishsplash
We bought a small shed with double doors & windows last summer from Castorama. It cost 399 euros & we put in some decking for the floor ourselves. The whole thing came to about 490 euros when erected.
