DAVEF
Can anybody recommend a good strong brand of French weedkiller.Dave
JohnRoss
I use Glyphos (Glyphosate), similar to Roundup but cheaper, from Brico shops diluted as per instructions then sprayed on and you can replant after a week or two. I think Sodium Chlorate may have been withdrawn and in any case it tends to poison the soil for some long time after use........................................JR
Gluestick
Agree, JR: so do I.If one looks around Glysophosphate (Glyphosate), is readily obtainable as a common désherbant: my last bottle came from M.Bricolage, is strong and makes up gallons of ready to use fluid. Great for nettles!

Théière
That applies to the farmers as well does it?I will file that next to the €45,000 fine for not having a pool alarm [:)]Sorry Dave, not shooting the messenger [;-)]
Grumpy
Good advice avice. Many herbicides can either pollute water courses or de-oxygenate the water. The UK have had controls in place for a long time. (But did they tell the farmers..I wonder too!)Grumpy
