Heating pads for greenhouse plant growing - in France?

MOH wants to start growing exotics and other plants/seeds in her

greenhouse. She has found appropriate electric heating pads by the score

online in UK, but they don't deliver to France.

What are these

things called in France, so we can do a google/fr on them?

A good friend of mine was looking for them last year and ended up buying from UK. She had them delivered to a friend in UK who forwarded them to France. I believe that she found a few for sale here, but at prices that were completely outrageous.

I can only echo Dave's comment about prices.  You can look at some of the seed suppliers for ideas of prices:

Alternatively - and if your DIY skills are up to it - you could do it yourself (as I discovered too late).  Castorama (and probably the other brico sheds) sell low wattage heating tape - for wrapping round pipes to stop them freezing.

I tried to order a mini greenhouse complete with undersoil heating pad from Thompson & Morgan in the UK. They refered me to their French site which supplied but at a higher cost.

Graines Baumaux also offerTapis Chauffants from 136.80 to 319 Euro

There is a company called http://www.selections.com which sells a large range of propagators and associated equipment including a windowsill propagator warming mat for  £17.99.  They deliver to European destinations and their quoted postal charge per order of garden items is £20.  I've not ordered from them myself but just thought they might be of interest because they will send stuff overseas.
