woolybanana
Daughter has foisted a large pot of cacti on me, those round ones. Can anyone tell me about caring for the things please, particularly about how and how often to water them?
andyh4
Lots of light. Water about once per week from now to end of September - if you can find a cactus fertiliser give a little once per month. If not a little general fertiliser dissolved in the water. The soil should dry out totally between waterings. Watch out for tiny little bits of "fluff" collecting on the bdy of the cactus - cochineal beatles and they will eventually kill the plant. Depending which type of "round one" you have you may or may not get flowers and they may or may not be (light) frost hardy. Best siggestion over winter is to ensure they are not subjected to frost.
