NuBeginnings
So the new tractor arrived a while back from Ireland safe and sound no scam thankfully ! Purchased the log splitter in France cuts through logs like butter only trouble is humping the dam things in to position takes its toll on the back I had to crawl out of bed this morning. I am now in to day 2 of log splitting the picture below is one days work, I estimate that I have another 5 full days splitting to go ;-(At least the sun is out and I can think of worse things to do.These are the small ones.
nectarine
nice job! What kind of splitter do you have ... I see it's a vertical one. What make is it ... our horizontal one went kaput after a few years so we're looking out for another.Hope the back is better soon ...

chirpy
hi,after having 9 diseased chestnut trees cut down I am faced with splitting! The coin and heavy hammer my wife usually uses [:D]is not suitable for this huge quantity and I think an electric/hydraulic machine is necessary.Looking on purchase in uk as cheaper and larger wattage for same money ,I found several bad reorts about 7ton Powerhouse model and a reasonable report on gardenlines Handy 6 ton splitter ,2200watt,at £198.any comments asap thanks.
