Gardian
When 'potting up' plants over the years, I've always liked to use some horticultural grit in order to improve drainage. You could get it in the UK, but I've found it hard to source over here. I did find a place locally a year or two back, but it was very expensive and they don't keep it any more.Anyway, I saw pool filter grit (silica) in the local DIY place this morning and I bought a bag. Then I started to wonder whether it might have some dodgy properties that will kill off anything I plant using it. Should I be concerned?
andyh4
AFAIK it is just straight silia and will do fine as grit.
